Scout Niblett disappeared off my radar soon after she popped on it almost a decade ago – I’m not sure why, especially given her particularly awesome name. But she has a new album out and the title track is ace.

According to her blog she was going to do this really excellent thing with the single,

i am just about to start recording the title track of my album “the calcination of scout niblett” as many times as i can. each individual version i record will be sold just once through an mp3 file via the dragcity website. so if you buy a version, you, and only you will have that particular recording.

However, as of yet I see no sign of it. Unless I missed it – the album is only two weeks out of the gate though so hopefully it is still in the works.
